These roses were greeting me every day during a trip to Sacramento, California a number of years ago. I still remember the warm sweet scent, the buzzing about of friendly little insects exploring what they saw as their garden, the sparkling light reflecting off the surface of the pool, how good it felt to get out of the cool water and feel the hot sunlight.
